In early 2025, Today’s Class launched the “Test Your Technician Knowledge” campaign, an interactive, omnichannel marketing initiative designed to engage automotive shop managers and technicians through educational quizzes. The goal: generate qualified leads, introduce Today’s Class’s bite-sized training model, and convert interest into enrollment conversations.

Today’s Class sought to reach a busy, high-turnover audience—automotive professionals who often struggle with inconsistent training and limited time. The challenges included:

  • Capturing attention in a crowded B2B marketplace.

  • Demonstrating the value of bite-sized training to shop owners and technicians.

  • Driving measurable engagement that could be nurtured into conversations and conversions.

Additionally, low email open rates in the industry and limited website traffic presented hurdles for sustained performance.

To break through the digital noise and resonate with their ideal audience, Modern Driven Media helped Today’s Class deploy an interactive quiz-based strategy focused on education and lead generation:

  • Quiz Funnel: Three distinct quizzes (Basic, Advanced, Service Advisor) tested knowledge while subtly showcasing Today’s Class training content. Quizzes were gated to capture contact info and followed by thank-you pages encouraging next steps.

  • Email Marketing: A multi-email drip campaign supported the funnel, beginning with promotional emails and followed by eight nurture messages addressing knowledge gaps, training benefits, and success stories.

  • Omnichannel Promotion:

    • Organic social media teased and promoted the quiz to create intrigue and reinforce credibility.

    • Paid ads targeted relevant search and social audiences, including shop owners and technicians.

    • A website pop-up drove additional quiz traffic from organic site visitors.

  • Messaging emphasized empowerment, real-world impact, and easy implementation of Today’s Class’s microlearning format.

The campaign significantly outperformed expectations across nearly all key performance indicators, demonstrating strong strategic execution and audience engagement.

As of June 30th, 2025, this campaign measured 2,682 total quiz submissions—exceeding the original goal by over 430%. This effort generated over 600 new contacts, 218 of which were qualified leads, meaning over 36% of all leads were qualified. From this pool, the deals closed accounted for $14,400 in closed-won revenue, with over $15,000 still active in the pipeline

Overall, the campaign exceeded expectations, particularly in lead quality and conversions, and is now delivering tangible ROI in both revenue and pipeline potential—offering clear direction for continued optimization and success.

The “Test Your Technician” omnichannel campaign proved to be a high-impact effort for Today’s Class, far exceeding its goals for engagement and lead generation.
